From 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on March 10th IT will be performing maintenance on storage systems that house all files, data, and servers. The maintenance is an important step in ensuring that the system continues to be reliable and in compliance with warranty service guidelines. The type of maintenance being performed requires shutting down the servers and associated storage hardware. The maintenance will also affect the CLA lab spaces. During the maintenance period access to CSU network resources including email, the Internet (wired and wireless), and the phones will be operational. The maintenance will not affect access to any files stored on OneDrive or other cloud storage services.
During the maintenance window (8am – 8pm) the following resources will not be available:
- Network drives
- Network printing
- All CLA websites
- CLA login in services (changing CLA passwords)
For the duration of the outage you will be able to log into your computer due to cached credentials, which is a local copy of your password. However, there is a small chance that your computer will try to update the cached credentials with CLA systems if you are on the campus network or accessing the campus network through the VPN service, which could lead to the inability to log in to your computer.
Once all systems are back up and functioning normally IT will send out an email letting everyone know that the systems are back in service.
