The CLA servers and data storage equipment will be shutdown to facilitate moving the equipment to a modern data center on campus. The data center will give us an improved disaster recovery profile, improved physical security, and dedicated cooling and power outage protection.
Outage Window
Start: March 15, 6:00 p.m.
End: March 17, 11:59 p.m.
Unavailable CLA Services: network files, network printing, login servers, and websites
Internet access will not be affected so access to files kept on OneDrive, MS SharePoint, or MS Teams will be unaffected. Other systems that will function normally during the outage include phones, email, calendars, and central CSU systems and websites.
During the outage you should still be able to login since Windows and Apple computers cache your login credentials to help speed up the login process.
Do not attempt to reset your CLA passwords during the outage as you may temporarily lose the ability to log into your computer.
CLA IT will endeavor to have the systems back online as quickly as possible. Once the systems are assembled and tested for stability we will announce the end of the outage window through email.
