Due to security concerns, and to further prevent accounts or websites from becoming compromised, most CLA department, center, and institute websites now require that users be on-campus, or connected to Pulse Secure (CSU VPN), to log in and edit the website. This will have no impact on the public facing side of the website, but rather only the admin side when logging in.
What this means is that if you’re attempting to log into one of these websites from home, or somewhere other than the CSU campus, you must first connect to the CSU VPN before you will be able to log in to the website.
Many of us are now accustomed to using Pulse Secure (CSU VPN) to gain access to various CSU resources while working remote, however for those who have not setup and used Pulse Secure please see our Remote Access Setup Guide. Please note that you only need to follow the “Pulse Secure” part of the guide, for Windows or Mac, to install and connect using the Pulse Secure app.
Also, note that this will affect all faculty and staff, even those who are simply logging into a CLA website to create or update their user bio.
